The Tre Balzane Stud Farm lies directly next to the medieval town of Castel Ritaldi in Umbria, where there is not just the best olive oil, good wine and other Italian delicacies. Here, at the foot of Monte Martano, Anglo-Arabs have been bred since 1987 and pure Arabs from predominantly straight Egyptian lines have been bread since1990. The climate in central Italy is particularly favourable for breeding Arabs because for most of the year it is dry and warm.
- The stud has a cover station and guest boxes for mares and foals at its disposal. The stallions cover the mares by natural means and also by artificial insemination. It is also possible to have daily care with ultrasound from a vet.
- For foals and colts there is 7 hectares of meadow and two hectares of olive groves with shelters. Guest horses are very welcome.
- Horses of all breeds are broken in here using horse-friendly methods.
- The hilly countryside, with its rich woodland and lack of traffic, is particularly suitable for training long distance horses for competitions.
- We are happy to help visitors by arranging accommodation for them in the near surrounding., for example in Casa Rossa in Castrel Ritaldi
